Is Summer already here?!

Happy Easter, Everyone! I just LOVE Florida so much, it is starting to get SUPER hot already, and I have crazy tan line and its not even summer yet! Haha! But I am just soaking it in all so much.
Something Good: Oh this week was FULL of amazing and solid lessons. God is so good to us if we follow exactly what He asks of us. We had 2 great lessons with Jose! So with Jose, we meet with him twice a week, on Mondays and on Fridays. Well Jose knows Spanish and guess what!? He is going to start teaching us Spanish! He gave us this little study guide with some Spanish words and on Friday we will have quizzes! He is just so adorable! He said, Well, since y'all are teaching me the Gospel, I will teach y'all Spanish! Blessings for sure! He is just the best! We taught him the 10 commandments and he memorized the hand actions so fast, he is just a stud.
This photo is for all you guys out there who love motorcycles! And look at this Florida sunshine! We had about 4 lessons with new people! One of them his name is Bruce! He is hsuper cool, he asked so many good questions about the church and his heart and mind are so open. Oh yes! Maddie the girl who came up to us, was able to come to institute on Tuesday and enjoyed it so much! She was able to make some friends which is so awesome! :)
This week has been super hot, and we have to walk a hill which we call Death Hill because it literally feels like death, but somehow we always make it up. So this photo is of me looking Hawaiian with a hibiscus in my hair and a Hawaiian print top. This week I am just grateful for lessons, we had quite a few lessons, and I am so thankful, a happy missionary is a teaching missionary. Am I happy!? Yes. :) Something Funny: Well guess what! I have gotten permission to cut Elders' hair!! So of course ALL the Elders ask me to cut their hair, which I am down to do! I guess it is a win-win for both of us, they get a free good hair cut and I get to keep my skill, so I am thankful! :) But today I got to do it, and I was wearing these shoes that the hair clings to the shoe. Well I made one of the Elders come and brush my shoe off...because it was HIS hair. Hahah, it is great! Man, Elders are so funny, but they are good people! I am thankful I can do hair! It definately has been a big blessing! <3
Something Learned: This week I have really loved the new Easter video "Hallelujah"https://www.mormon.org/easter This video shows how we can find new lift through the Savior, which we all need, so it is perfect! :) Well missionary work is all about helping others find new life, a new faith, a new life style, a new and better relationship with Father in Heaven and our Savior. I am so thankful for this Easter season and the time to really focus on our Savior and because of him we can all become more alive and find new and better life. We are all so LUCKY to have this Gospel knowledge. I hope we all ponder for a bit about our Savior Jesus Christ. What a wonderful time to do so. I really do love this time I have to be a missionary. Oh it is a beautiful thing. I love the Gospel, I sure do love Jesus, and I love Florida. <3 #Hallelujah #FTM Love Yall!

FSU is DEAD - Just for This Week

Something Good: Well this week was DEAD. It was spring break on FSU so EVERYONE was gone. The only people on campus where Asians, and the teachers. Haha! But we did have a good week:) Nothing can stop us from still having a good week! :) See we even contacted the Seminole and introduced him to the Book of Mormon! We had zone conference which was AMAZING. It was defiantly one for the books. We learned so much more about our mission theme, "Teach Repentance, Baptize Converts, Connecting Generations." I love learning from President and Sister Smith. It was a such a spiritual uplift. Something that I really enjoyed was Sister Smiths lesson, she taught about how to be Diligent instead of Slothful. Two different definitions, and I like the Diligent definition better :) Anyways, being diligent is SO important in missionary work, it is so easy to be slothful, but diligence brings miracles. I know that for sure! Another good thing! Our move was a success! It took us about 2 days to move and clean, we are in a better apartment, and we are HAPPY. Since this week was SO slow, we didn't have too many lessons, but we the lessons we had where on point! We had a lesson with a new gator named Maddie, this time we saw Maddie she had lots of questions, it was awesome because we saw her after zone conference and everything we learned during the conference was some of the answers we gave to Maddie, the spirit is just WONDERFUL. Maddie is super sweet and loves to have friends, so I really think we are friends (; She wants to come to church so we will be picking her up tomorrow :) She is steller. So one of the commitments we where given by our Zone Leaders at our conference was to ask one person a week to be baptized...isn't that just kinda cool!?! Sis Beal and I are committed to do it! Well we asked Joy if she will be baptized, and she told us that was was already baptized, we kinda figured she would say that, but that didn't phase us one bit. We talked about how we need to be baptized with the Priesthood authority and that just BLEW her mind, and at the end of the lesson we asked her if she wanted to be baptized by the Priesthood Authority and she said yes! It was awesome!! We have a lot of work to do with her, but man, sometimes all we got to do is ASK. :) Over all it was a bless week, there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for.
Something Funny: Wanna hear about our move? Well it was SO funny. We had to move quite a few big items to our new apartment and yall know I have NO muscle, it is a good thing I have Sister Beal, she is SO much stronger than me. Hahah, anyways! We decided to move all our food, we put them in drawers and had to haul all of it over, oh my goodness...kinda a bad mistake...IT WAS SO HEAVY!!! But we did it and I did not die. We had our ZL's come help us move a couch and they saw how gross our old apartment was and they asked if they could look around it...haha so awkward, but they took a nice look and we where dying because our old apartment is SO nasty. But we where thankful they came to help...also Y'ALL.
I used these man tools, I totally forgot what they are called, but I fixed my bed and put it together and learned how to do that this week, (Dad you probably should be proud) Sis Nielson is a handy man. or women, you decide. (; Ha! Anyways! Our move was great, and we are SO thankful to be out and free of cockroaches! Yay! Blessings. Great blessings. Something Learned: This week we where able to watch the face2face with Elder Holland for YSA and let me tell ya! It was AMAZING. Oh so wonderful, I really recommend EVERYONE watch it. I learned SO much from it and I just ADORE Elder Holland, he is just so wonderful!! My heart is still tingling from it! He said something that really hit home to me, he said..."Every question, or doubt we have, the answer will always be The Gospel of Jesus Christ." I thought about that and it is SO true. No matter what questions we have about anything, we can always find our answers through the Gospel, that is something so unique about the our church, we can always receive answers. I am so thankful to be apart of a church that has answers to every question, It makes me feel SO Lucky. We are all so Lucky to know the truth of our Heavenly Father and of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I love this truth, I love this Gospel, it has become a fact on my heart and a truth no one could take away from me. <3 I love each of yall lots!! -Sis Nielson :)1924 West Pensacola Street #113 Tallahassee FL 32304

New Address

Just so you know first, we are moving apartments! We will still be in the same complex, but our new address is 1924 West Pensacola Street #113, Tallahassee FL 32304 :) So really it is basically the same, just a different apartment number. Our lease is coming to an end, and they are moving us to the one that they just updated the lease for! So we will be moving this next week, which is a tender blessing because this next week is Spring Break on campus and it will be DEAD because everyone is leaving!! So we are thankful that we will have something to do :) Something Good: Well this week has been honestly SO long!! We have had some awesome lessons, but sometimes weeks are just long and this week was definitely one of them, but all good things! Two great highlights with Jose! On Monday we had a lesson about baptism!! At the end we asked him, when he came to know the truth of the Church and the Book of Mormon, would he be baptized? And he said Yes! It was amazing! So we are doing a lot of praying for him to come to know the Church to be true! He has been to church quite a few times now and loves the Book of Mormon! Jose is definitely a Miracle, and we are just seeing so many tender mercies with him! We had a great lesson about the W.O.W. (Word of Wisdom) and he took it SO well. He told us he was going to drink coffee before his trip home, but after our lesson he was all like..."Well I guess that is not going to be happening!" Jose is just awesome. :) We had a great lesson with one of our Gators named Joy. We talked to her about Temples, and she really wants to go to the temple. Again - the Spirit of Elijah - it is a real thing! Campus is just a great place. Sometimes the fear of man will hit me, but this week it was just great! "I fear no man." I really do believe if we are doing our part, the Lord will bless us in ways we can not imagine, because Heavenly Father is a God of Love. He loves us all. We just gotta love Him, too. <3 Something Funny: Have you ever had a time where you pray for patience...? Well if not, I don't know if you will want to, because you will be tested! So a funny story that just happened today! We went shopping and it took us a while since we had to get a few things Well we are checking out and the guy who is checking us out TAKES FOREVER! Let's just say it took 18 minutes to check out,...oh just imagine my face, we all know when I get hungry or just annoyed, I am not happy. I just wanted to die. Anyway, I am learning a lot of patience, even with silly things like that too. It's all good things ;) Just so funny that when we pray for things that we need to work on, God will HELP us. Oh yes!!! Something Learned: This week the sentence "We are all children of God" really hit me, we have about 40,000 students on campus that sometimes the fear of man overcomes me and I just wanna die, but this week, I don't know what it was, but for the first time for me, I wasn't scared of what people were going to think of me. I wasn't scared to invite people to learn, because the Spirit really let me feel that EVERYONE is a child of God. Everyone matters, Every person is worth a shot. I am super grateful for moments when the Spirit teaches us small and simple things that we should always know and remember. D&C 18:10 :) I love y'all !!!! Stay Sweet and make Jesus Decisions! <3, Sister Nielson P.S. Sorry, I took like no pictures this week....
